• "Server" refers to Karmascape, including all game servers, websites, and related services
• "User" refers to any person who accesses or uses the Server
• "Account" refers to any user account created on the Server
• "Content" refers to all data, text, graphics, or other materials on the Server

1.2 Scope

These terms apply to all users of Karmascape, including the game client, website, forums, Discord server, and any related services or platforms.

2.1 Independence from Jagex Ltd

• Karmascape is an independent, fan-operated private server
• We are NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Jagex Ltd in any way
• RuneScape® is a registered trademark of Jagex Ltd
• We do not claim ownership of any RuneScape intellectual property

2.2 Fair Use and Educational Purpose

Karmascape operates under fair use principles for educational and entertainment purposes. We use RuneScape-inspired content for non-commercial fan purposes only.

2.3 Original Content

All custom content, modifications, and original creations on Karmascape are owned by Karmascape and protected by applicable copyright laws.

3.1 Account Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You must not share your account with others
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

3.2 Prohibited Activities

• Using bots, automation, or third-party software
• Exploiting bugs or glitches for personal gain
• Real-world trading of in-game items or accounts
• Harassment, discrimination, or toxic behavior
• Attempting to hack, exploit, or damage the Server
• Distributing malware or harmful content

3.3 Age Requirements

Users must be at least 13 years old. Users under 18 require parental consent.

4.1 Rule Violations

Violation of any server rules may result in temporary or permanent suspension of your account.

4.2 Appeals Process

Users may appeal punishments through our official Discord server or support channels.

4.3 Staff Discretion

Server staff have the right to take action against any behavior deemed harmful to the community, even if not explicitly covered in these terms.

5.1 Donation Policy

• All payments are considered donations to support server operations
• Donations are voluntary and non-refundable
• Virtual items received have no real-world value
• We reserve the right to modify or remove donated items

5.2 Refund Policy

Refunds may only be provided in exceptional circumstances at our sole discretion. Chargebacks will result in immediate account termination.

6.1 Data Collection

We collect minimal data necessary for server operation, including IP addresses, usernames, and gameplay statistics.

6.2 Data Protection

We implement reasonable security measures to protect user data. However, no system is completely secure.

6.3 Data Sharing

We do not sell or share personal data with third parties, except as required by law.

7.1 Service Availability

We strive for high uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance and updates may cause temporary downtime.

7.2 Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Server at any time without notice.

7.3 Wipe Policy

While rare, server wipes may occur for technical or balance reasons. We will provide advance notice when possible.

8.1 Disclaimer of Warranties

The Server is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

8.2 Limitation of Damages

In no event shall Karmascape be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Server.

8.3 Maximum Liability

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have donated to the Server in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9.1 Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

9.2 Dispute Resolution

Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of England and Wales.
